Successful Completion of a Two-Day Workshop on Developing Technical and Research Project Proposals
The Faculty of Computer Science at Afghan International Islamic University (AIIU) successfully held a two-day workshop titled "Preparation and Development of Technical and Research Project Proposals" for its students. This workshop took place in the University’s Main Conference Hall and aimed to enhance students’ research and proposal-writing skills.
The event was attended by Dr. Rohani Roshan, Dean of the Faculty of Computer Science, faculty members, and many students. The workshop was further enriched by the participation of distinguished academic guests, including Dr. Wahidullah Suleiman Khail from Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin, Germany; Dr. Mohammad Ismail Khitab from the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava (STU), Slovakia; and Dr. Ziaullah Momand from Kabul University.
As part of the workshop, students from the Departments of Artificial Intelligence and Software Engineering presented 17 research project proposals on a wide range of technical and scientific topics before a five-member academic evaluation panel. The panel comprised Dr. Wahidullah Suleiman Khail, Dr. Mohammad Ismail Khitab, Dr. Ziaullah Momand, Dr. Rohani Roshan (Dean of the Faculty of Computer Science), and Dr. Mohammad Janas Khan, a faculty member of the Department of Computer Science.
Each proposal was evaluated with careful attention to its scientific merit, technical quality, research methodology, innovation, and practical significance. The panel members provided detailed academic observations, constructive recommendations, and valuable guidance to assist students in further strengthening their research proposals and enhancing their project development skills.
The workshop concluded with an interactive academic discussion between the guest experts, faculty members, and students. Participants engaged in a productive exchange of ideas, while students' questions were addressed comprehensively by the panel members, fostering a collaborative learning environment and promoting excellence in research and innovation.
The Faculty of Computer Science remains committed to organizing academic and research-oriented activities that enhance students' professional competencies, encourage scientific inquiry, and contribute to the advancement of research culture at the Afghan International Islamic University.
