Annual Evaluation of the Deputyships of Academic Affairs, Research, and Scientific Journal Conducted.
The annual evaluation of the Deputyships of Academic Affairs, Research, and Scientific Journal of the Afghan International Islamic University was conducted by the Academic Deputyship of the Ministry of Higher Education.
The evaluation was led by the Honorable Academic Deputy of the Ministry, Sheikh Zia-ur-Rahman Madani, and attended by the Director of Appointments and Promotions, the Director of Quality Assurance, the Director of Curriculum, the Director of Foreign Relations, and the Director of Compilation and Translation.
During the opening ceremony, the Acting President of Afghan International Islamic University, Dr. Rafiullah Atta, welcomed the visiting delegation and delivered an informative presentation regarding the university’s overall activities and achievements. Following the presentation, a comprehensive evaluation of the Deputyships of Academic Affairs, Research, and Scientific Journal was conducted.
At the outset, officials from the Deputyship of Academic Affairs presented detailed information regarding the teaching process, academic curricula, faculty academic ranks, promotions and appointments, quality assurance mechanisms, academic planning, and administrative coordination. They also highlighted achievements of previous years, existing challenges, and future strategic plans.
Subsequently, the activities of the Deputyship of Research and Scientific Journal were evaluated. Detailed information was provided regarding the promotion of scientific research, implementation of research projects, mechanisms for reviewing and publishing academic papers by faculty members and students, the systematic publication process of the scientific journal, and the functioning of research centers.
The delegation also visited the university’s research centers, library, archive, and related academic documentation. They offered constructive recommendations aimed at further enhancing academic quality and strengthening administrative reforms.
The evaluation session was attended by the Acting President Dr. Rafiullah Atta, the Deputy of Academic Affairs, Pohandawal Dr. Abdul Wahid Liaqat, and the Deputy of Research and Scientific Journal, Dr. Mohammad Wali Salari, who each presented comprehensive reports regarding their respective areas.
The university leadership expressed appreciation to the Ministry’s delegation and reaffirmed its commitment to further strengthening academic quality, expanding research activities, and standardizing the scientific journal in accordance with the Ministry’s policies, regulations, and procedures.
The evaluation was conducted over the course of one day and concluded with emphasis on the importance of academic coordination, continued cooperation, and joint reform initiatives between both parties.
