A Scientific Seminar Held Under the Title: “The Function of the Heart from the Perspective of Islamic Sharia and Medicine”
Today, Monday, corresponding to the 1st of January 2025, a one-day scientific seminar titled “The Function of the Heart from the Perspective of Islamic Sharia and Medicine” was held by the Faculty of Sharia, Department of Fiqh and Law, in collaboration with the Academic Affairs Directorate of Afghan International Islamic University (AIIU).
The seminar was attended by deans of various faculties, professors, and academic figures of the university. The event began with opening remarks by Prof. Dr. Abdulwahid Liaqat, Vice President for Academic Affairs, who welcomed the participants and briefly highlighted the importance of the heart and its vital role in human life.
The seminar was conducted in two academic sessions First Session: Dr. Mohammad Younus Ebrahimi, a professor from the Faculty of Sharia, delivered a detailed presentation on the function of the heart from the perspective of Islamic Sharia. He elaborated on the spiritual, ethical, and religious significance of the heart based on the Qur’an and Sunnah.
Second Session: Dr. Khalid Rashid, Head of the Cardiology Department at Al-Hayat Hospital, presented a comprehensive overview of the heart's functions from the standpoint of modern medicine. He emphasized that the heart is directly connected to all parts of the human body and forms the foundation for proper bodily function.
At the end of the seminar, a Q&A session was held, allowing participants to pose their questions, which were thoroughly addressed by the presenters.
It is worth noting that the administration of Afghan International Islamic University is consistently committed to organizing such scientific and specialized seminars not only to serve its academic staff and students but also to enhance public awareness on critical issues.
