Afghan International Islamic University – Internal Road Construction Project

The Afghan International Islamic University officially launched its internal road construction project today, Tuesday, 14th of Asad.
The project, covering a total length of 2,571 meters, is being implemented at a cost of AFN 20,997,463.75 (twenty million, nine hundred ninety-seven thousand, four hundred sixty-three Afghanis and seventy-five pul). The inauguration ceremony was attended by the Honorable Minister of Higher Education, Sheikh al-Hadith Neda Mohammad Nadim.

The event began with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by a welcome speech from the university’s Acting President, Dr. Rafiullah Ata. He expressed gratitude for the minister’s support, noting that although the university was previously under direct U.S. sponsorship, its roads remained unpaved for the past two decades. He added that the current government is committed to national reconstruction, with visible progress already underway.

In his remarks, Minister Nadim emphasized that the Islamic Emirate is prioritizing fundamental development projects across the country. He underlined that this initiative, along with similar projects, is being financed entirely through the national budget without any foreign assistance.

The minister also urged Akbar Nusrat Construction Company, the contractor for the project, to ensure timely completion with high-quality standards in line with contractual commitments. A company representative assured participants that the work would be carried out under the supervision of the university’s monitoring committee and completed to the highest standards.

The foundation stone of the project was laid by Minister Nadim, the Acting University President, Deputy for Finance and Administration Qari Abdul Sattar Haidari, and other university leaders. The ceremony concluded with a closing prayer led by Deputy for Student Affairs, Sheikh Abdul Malik Niazi.
It is worth noting that a separate project for the Faculty of Agriculture is also underway, involving the construction of a research farm well at a cost of AFN 1,750,000, which is expected to be completed and operational in the near future.
